About 'The Lucy'

The Lucy is dedicated to Lucy Weber, a brave baby girl from Shawnee who was diagnosed with brain cancer.  She had surgery on her very first birthday.  

Lucy needed constant care so the Webers made a very tough decision.  Her dad stopped working at his own small business. Her mom stayed at her corporate job so the family had insurance to cover Lucy’s costly medical care. 

To help offset the income loss, the Webers turned to Supporting Kids Foundation for financial assistance.

Lucy lost her battle in 2010 at just 17-months-old.  But her legacy will live forever.  Her family created Lucy’s Kids for Peace, a national organization that now has a local chapter!  The organization inspires kids to be more caring, tolerant, responsible and peaceful.  

This September – and every day -- we celebrate Lucy, the Superhero.
